Higher Education Emergency Fund (HEERF) Student Share Post Spring 2020 Application Submission
The CARES Act includes a Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). Guidance issued by the U.S. Department of Education in June 2020 clarified that students who were not enrolled in the Spring 2020 academic term, but who were enrolled in subsequent academic sessions may be eligible to receive HEERF Student Share Grant Funds. Approximately $1.5 million of HEERF Student Share Grant Funds remain available for distribution.
The University's HEERF Student Share Grant Policy, including the Addendum dated August 21, 2020, presents the University's methodology for determining eligibility under the CARES Act, as well as the process and procedure for distributing and disbursing the HEERF Student Share Grant Funds.
Students enrolled in associate's, bachelor's, graduate, professional and certificate programs during the Summer 2020 academic terms or as of September 4, 2020 for the Fall 2020 term, may apply for the HEERF Student Share Grant Funds.
As part of the application process, you will be asked to upload supporting documentation (e.g., receipts) for expenses you incurred and related to the disruption of campus operations for summer and fall academic terms.
Applications submitted by 3pm on October 14 will be included in the Post Spring 2020 Priority Application Period.
